1964 the Tribute is a Beatles' tribute band that was formed in 1982. Their origin, however, is not avavailable. Their members consist of Graham Alexander (who takes the place of Paul McCartney), Mark Benson (covering for John Lennon), Tom Work (in place of George Harrison), and Bobby Potter (who plays in place of Ringo Starr). They've released several compilations, including the PBS Soundtrack CD, "All You Need Is Live!" which includes two discs of music, Nine Hours in November, and Starhand Visions

1964 a Tribute to the Beatles has achieved a great deal of success for a tribute band. Rolling Stone magazine called them "The best Beatles tribute ever." They have performed over 2900 shows and has been featured on many television programs such as Entertainment Tonight, CNN, and The Nashville Network. The bands mission is to accurately recreate the time period (1964) inwhich the Beatles became popular in America, or "the Beatle invasion". They've also released some orignial work which is in their album Starhand Visions.
